Tribal - Aemee I by Kendra-Paige Tribal - Aemee I by Kendra-Paige
Model: Aemee Ignacio
MUA & Wardrobe: :iconwingedinfinity:

This is the result of me instructing the model: "This isn't about being pretty, it's about making me think I'm about to become your next meal."

And she nailed it.

Amazing picture! First of all: the make up. Great that black and white! She looks like an indian. Second: her clothes, all those fringes look great, fits to indian girls. Just like the colour: brown. Her hair looks nice too, all mixed up and so dark. Her posture fits to indian girls too, she looks alert, like she sees an enemy comming. She seems like a strong girl, like she's ready to jump on that enemy. The bushes also fit to the picture, it looks natural. Only one thing: she's too clean, althoug it makes her look good, nice and smooth

Well done!! :D
MAKE UP: I love the makeup on this one well done and yet humble enough so that it doesn't draw much attention from the rest of the pic. Almost has a pagan feel to it!
PHOTOGRAPHY:The pose is just great since it promotes the fact that she is lurking and ready for action yet hiding the parts that would make it look cheap. Nice use of depth of field makes us watchers feel like we are part of her adventure and also creates multiple layers of interest in the image. Back light is a nice add to the feeling of the image and composition is approaching the golden ratio which is a good thing.
EDITING: The skin touch up is also subtle so that it doesn't distract from the natural scenery with its plastic look . i personally prefer to desaturate the white area of the eye because its easy to get a pink eye with a lot of makeup

Now if i was asked to alter some stuff it would be minor photoshop editing changes like:
- darken/make greener the pale cyan area on the left of her head that is distracts me
-darken the face a little bit or whiten the arms to match each other perfectly.
-darken the ground below her so that it doesn't draw any attention
-eliminate the large overbright area on her right thigh by liquify or stamp tool

The background gives off a tribal and wild-like feel to the picture overall. It would've given off more natural wildness if there were only a few parts of her face that was litten up by light. Like how predators lurk in the darkness for their prey with only a few specks of light giving off their presence. However, I admire your effort into making this picture send off a predatory feel~ The picture already expresses the theme of the image and the scenery definitely captures the beauty of nature.

Looks pretty swell to me, the make up is done really well and really add's to the scene. :)
She is a bit too 'clean' in my opinion though. Maybe some more muddy texture or scratches on her skin would make her blend in more with the enviroment. Also the leaf on her hand is a bit of a shame. You can see the tense expression of the face but if the hand would also be tense and grabbing in the ground or show expression it would add up to the pose. Now the leaf is covering that.

Somehow she reminds me of Xena as well haha :)

This is amazing! The expression is absolutely perfect, intense and raw. The makeup and outfit add to her look beautifully and her pose is great as well. The whole photo keeps in tune with the tribal feel. The only thing I'd suggest is to exclude the leaves on the upper left hand corner since their blur distracts from the model a bit. It's good that there are leaves framing her but that one seems to be a little too much. Overall, this shot has a great impact and emotion in it. :D

This is a really nice one. The model looks convincing in the role, and this picture does a great job of fusing the beauty of your model-centric shots with the natural vibe of your animal-centric ones. This is one of my favorites.

Whoa! Conceptual work is always awesome! This is great. She doesn't even look like the same girl anymore. She really does look like an animal out for the hunt. Fantastic! Make up might be a bit much for a "Wild Girl" but still really cool.

I feel like this could somehow be more 'Wild', but still and awesome photo. I love her expression. She definitively nailed that. The way her hair is also works very well for the overall feel. Another wonderful job.

Thank you for the feedback. We actually had a tough time messing up her hair because it was just so nice that it would fall right back into place, haha.

Great job. The model looks very natural in this setting. Some parts are a little blurry and out of focus, but that really just adds more attention to the model. Good job.

Thank you very much, I was going for a sort of 'hidden capture,' hence the blurriness and bokeh, helps give it a slightly softer look so it's more aesthetic. Thanks again for the comment!
