First of all, I would like to say this picture is lovely~ It would have been more enhanced if you worked on the lighting against the model. If there was more light being focused on the model it would have give a more natural and elegant effect. Not blurring the background entirely would have also made the scene more natural but overall, I really like the pose and the scenery. The dress and model are just lovely and the way the picture was caught itself is something you should be proud of. Keep up the good work~
Your model is awesome for going barefoot, I'd be afraid of jabbing myself with the "randomly sharp twig" waiting for me. Aside from that, the pose says there is an inkling of curiosity to it and I like how the make up was kept natural for the set up of this photograph. I also love how the dress towards the bottom is not straight but curved. It reminds me of a leaf's shape. Keep up the awesome work, Kendra.
Miki is definitely a brave model, haha. She was surrounded by locusts, grasshoppers, jumping spiders, and all manner of icky insects - but she still did her thing and we had awesome shots. Thank you for the positive feedback, I appreciate it!
You don't really need elf ears to have a Fae; in fact, I find the ears rather distracting form the rest of the image. They sorta stick out as obviously not part of the scene, and clearly look fake. They almost look like they are made of fabric. o.O
The rest of the photo is really awesome, though. I like it. Just... those ears.
Very, very nice, Kendra! Miki's gold hair (wig) and green dress blend in beautifully with the natural surroundings. I wonder if a motion shot of her would have added a sense of flitting about, being hard to see, to catch, to hold onto. Still, I love this pic and I've added it to my "Beauties" folder. Your gallery is amazing.
Thank you so much, that's very kind! Originally we had planned to use a silver wig, but the quality of it wasn't up to par and it would have been difficult to photograph, so I had her change it. I wanted to stay away from the blonde one because I was afraid it would look too much like Tinkerbell, but it was a nice wig, and the other options were too modern / anime-like, so I figured this was the best route given the surroundings.
I had actually done a few panning shots, but found this one to be the best of the shoot because of the clarity and more carefree pose. It was my first time doing a fantasy photoshoot, but I hope to do more in the future. Thanks again for the insightful feedback!
