Red Riding Hood by Kendra-Paige Red Riding Hood by Kendra-Paige

This was the first time I had ever used a fog machine, and only my second time shooting in a studio - so it was definitely a major challenge. I was happy with how this turned out for a few reasons - particularly just how bizarre it is. Her hair is styled like a Loreal advertisement, yet she's wearing a red cloak and is shrouded in fog, yet looking quite unimpressed with that fact.

Despite shooting in a tropical storm, we made the best of it, and had a lot of fun during this shoot.

Hair is amazing. It can't be all real... Can it?

Your indoor shoots are improving all the time. The smoky background, although understated, gives a tremendous sense of drama. Wary expression works so well.

I love the color contrast with the warm red cloak versus the otherwise cool color composition of the background, her dark hair, and lovely pallor. Gives the picture a nice flair of drama.

Thank you for the thoughtful comment, hun. =) Initially we started with a white backdrop, but it definitely wasn't working, so I switched it to a black backdrop instead - mixing that with the fog from the fog machine, it definitely worked out better.

White, red, and black would make an incredible color combo if you could get the lighting right. Assuming that gorgeous model would be willing to dye her hair black... not that you need any ideas from me. xD
