Subject: Heliconius Melpomene
Melpomeme was originally the Greek Muse of Singing, but later became the Muse of Tragedy.
These are three heliconius melpomene butterflies (also known as Piano Key or Postman butterflies), captured in flight.
One piece of criticism I received on previous butterfly photographs was that they appeared lifeless, due to the limitations of my equipment - I couldn't capture them in-flight as sharp as I would like. Fortunately with my recent upgrade, I can freeze time exactly as I want to.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactFirst of all, I have to say I'm in love with tropical and boem photos, and this is one of them for me. Second, this photograph is almost magical: the lights, the red flowers, the 3 butterflies. That number is magical. The colors of their wings are stunning, and I only can say that it is breathtaking. Your photographic skills are amazing and this picture shows it clearly, because these subjects are very dynamic, but you somehow managed to capture them in a beautiful way, with some simple, yet gorgeous little flowers, that accentuates the idea that these creatures are big and majestic. The colors of the picture and the composition is amazing, the blurred reddish background has its charm.
One more thing to say, I envy your skills very much. You are like a guru to me and I hope you will keep up the wonderful job!
