I took a lot of photos of this look, and I really loved how it turned out. At first we were going to use a blonde wig that she had, and I remembered I brought one of my old cosplay wigs with me, so we swapped it for that. I think the red compliments the look a lot more, and the pictures came out great! It was really tons of fun.

The use of the limited palette (black, white and crimson) places emphasis on and defines the light and contours of the subject, therefore reducing distractions from the focal point, namely the face and hair. This is further supported by the lens focus on the head, capturing the intricate and fluid detail of the cascading hair and the shadows and highlights around the head area which quite effectively enhances the vivid and vibrant aesthetic appeal of the photo. The autumnal background compliments the hair and contrasts with the monochromatic clothing in a pleasant way. The overall effect is quite outstanding in producing a visually appealing photo that remains faithful to many aspects of lolita fashion.

Lolita I.
I feel the upper eye mascara couldve shown more to define a more royal emotion. The hair was perfectly placed and looks lovely in contrast to the background. The lower silver eye liner is great and matches perfectly with the costume. So using color matching with the hair and costume was a great idea, to say the least with this photo! The red hair really brings out the monochrome of the outfit..I would have loved to see a shot that compliments the monochrome outfit though, like this red background complements the red hair.
The red and pink lipstick was a wonderful idea to contrast the dark and the light such as in a black and white style but to the red color instead!
The angle of the photo is also wonderful! And her protruding cheek skin goes great with the make-up applied and supports her lovely light smile. This is a great photo!

I like the angle used in this picture. It shows off her jaw. Model says to me: "Whatever it is - you'll be fine."
